With the privacy and cookie policy below, Dutch Sport Tech Fund (DSTF) aims to provide insight into how it handles your data and how it will use it. If you have any questions regarding this privacy and cookie policy, please contact info@dutchsporttechfund.nl. If you have accepted this privacy and cookie policy on a DSTF website, this consent applies to all pages of:
This Privacy and Cookie Policy uses the following terms or definitions:
a.) Privacy and Cookie Policy: the subjects, themes, and conditions described on this page regarding DSTF’s practices on its website.
b.) Services: the services that DSTF offers to you. For example, the website.
c.) Personal Data: any form of information by which DSTF can directly or indirectly identify or distinguish you. For example, a name, email address, or IP address.
d.) Processing (Process, Processed): any use of your Personal Data such as storing, modifying, forwarding, or (partially) deleting this data. For example, DSTF processes Personal Data when you use the website.
e.) Devices: the various devices, such as PCs, smartphones, or tablets, through which access can be obtained to the Services.
f.) Content: text, information, and audiovisual material that DSTF makes available as part of the Services.
g.) DSTF: the private company with limited liability Dutch Sport Tech Fund B.V., visiting address Langestraat 114 in Alkmaar. DSTF is the responsible entity for the Processing of your Personal Data. DSTF also includes Processing on behalf of DSTF B.V. and companies affiliated with these entities.
DSTF processes the following Personal Data about you, for the purposes explained later in this privacy and cookie policy:
It is not necessarily the case that DSTF uses all of the above-mentioned data about you. This depends on purposes as further described in the privacy and cookie policy below. DSTF has deliberately chosen not to use special categories of Personal Data such as race, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, sexual orientation, health, or criminal data.
DSTF processes your Personal Data for the following purposes:
a.) To provide the Service: For example, DSTF uses Data provided during registration or when using an Account (such as name and email address) to verify whether you meet the required criteria (for example, age verification). Provided contact details may be used to inform you about (changes to) the Service or scheduled maintenance (service emails).
b.) For processing payments: Certain data requested during registration or use of the Service may be necessary for processing billing and payment for the Service.
c.) For sending newsletters and promotions: DSTF may also use contact details and other collected data to draw your attention to promotions or offers by phone, mail, email, SMS, so-called push notifications from apps, or other suitable targeted media (promotional emails), or to keep you informed about the Service and the Content (newsletter emails). You can unsubscribe from this at any time.
d.) To prevent misuse: DSTF also processes your Personal Data and your use of the Service to prevent misuse of the Service and the Content, to prevent fraud (for example, with credit cards or other payment methods), and to safeguard the rights of others (including the rights holders of the Content). e.) Compliance with laws and regulations: Your Personal Data may be used to comply with laws and regulations applicable to DSTF, to handle disputes, and to conduct (accounting) audits.
f.) Building a profile: DSTF aims to make the Service as relevant as possible for you. To do this, DSTF maintains a profile based on your use of the Service to get an idea of your likely interests. For example, DSTF keeps track of which Content you access or which activities (such as signing up for a Webinar, showing interest in our products) you perform. Or DSTF may use your location data (with explicit consent). Based on these interests, DSTF can then (have) the Content, including advertisements on DSTF websites and apps, tailored to you. DSTF may also use these profiles for our online advertising campaigns. DSTF is and remains the owner of these profiles and will never make these profiles available to third parties.
g.) To improve the Service and identify general trends: DSTF uses your data to analyze in general how the Service is used and what trends can be observed, in order to make better-informed decisions about, for example, further development of the Service and the Content offering. More technical trends may also be tracked for this purpose, for example, which types of Devices or browsers you use to access the Content.
h.) For market research: DSTF may contact you and former users and visitors of the Service who have provided their contact details for market research. Participation in such research is always voluntary. Based on this research, DSTF may send offers to you and others who have participated in this research, if prior consent has been given.
DSTF processes your Personal Data primarily because it is necessary to provide its Services. For example, DSTF may use your data to grant you access to its website. DSTF may also process your Personal Data because it is required to do so by laws and regulations. For instance, the General Tax Act requires payment data to be retained for 7 years for the Tax Authorities. DSTF may also process the data because it or a third party has a legitimate interest, such as business interests. In such cases, DSTF will always carefully consider whether this interest outweighs your privacy interests. Finally, DSTF may process Personal Data based on your consent. For example, DSTF will ask for your permission before placing and reading tracking cookies or before sending you (electronic) commercial messages.
DSTF obtains your Personal Data in the following ways:
a.) Directly from you: for example, when you fill in a contact form, sign up for a special promotion or campaign, send an email, or otherwise get in touch (for example, with questions about the use of the Services or when DSTF gives you the opportunity to post information on their website yourself).
b.) From third parties: if you or another visitor to a website or app uses social networking features integrated into the Services, DSTF may receive certain information from the relevant social network, such as – but not limited to – Facebook and LinkedIn. DSTF may also receive information from partners involved in providing the Services. For example, DSTF uses the services of other parties that help map and analyze the use of the Content and its websites and apps. An example of this is Google Analytics. This is a provider that gives DSTF insight into how you view the DSTF website (what you click on and how often).
a.) Within the organization of DSTF: the collected Personal Data is also Processed by DSTF for companies affiliated with DSTF. These companies may gain access to your Personal Data insofar as this fits within the purposes described in this Privacy and Cookie Policy.
b.) With other partners of DSTF: in specific cases, it is necessary, within the framework of the purposes described above, to share Personal Data with third parties who use this Personal Data independently. In addition, DSTF may provide Personal Data to other partners selected by DSTF for marketing purposes. For this, DSTF will first request your separate consent.
c.) With authorities and others: In exceptional cases, DSTF may provide Personal Data to authorities or third parties if DSTF is required to do so by law or by court order, or if there is reasonable cause to believe that this is necessary to prevent harm or misuse.
DSTF retains your Personal Data for as long as necessary. DSTF will keep your data at least as long as you use the Services and, in case of inactivity, for a period of 3 (three) years thereafter. DSTF does this so that you can easily resume using the Services upon reactivation. If you are inactive for a long period (longer than 3 (three) years), DSTF may delete your data. An exception to this is if the law requires DSTF to retain certain data for a longer period. For example, the General Tax Act requires payment data to be kept for 7 (seven) years for the Tax Authorities.
DSTF maintains a level of security at all times when Processing your Personal Data that, given the state of the art, is sufficient to prevent unauthorized access to, alteration, disclosure, or loss of Personal Data. If DSTF engages third parties, it imposes the same level of security on them.
Individuals whose Personal Data is Processed have certain rights under the law. You can access the Personal Data processed by DSTF at any time and free of charge, and modify it if desired. You can also object to receiving information or targeted offers from DSTF via email, telephone, mail, and/or SMS, or have your data deleted in accordance with applicable regulations. Finally, DSTF informs you of your right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. DSTF aims to ensure that you can exercise these rights as much as possible yourself. For example, by allowing you to view, correct, or delete your data. You can also exercise these rights by contacting us at info@dutchsporttechfund.nl. DSTF will respond to your request within 4 weeks.
Cookies are small files that can be placed on your Devices by websites or apps. For example, this allows you to be easily recognized during your next visit without having to log in to your Account again. Information about the use of DSTF’s websites can also be collected from other visitors (who are not logged in with an Account) using cookies. There are different types of cookies. In some cases, cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser, while in other cases, these cookies are stored for a longer period and can be read again during your next use of the Services. Insofar as DSTF collects Personal Data using cookies, this data is Processed in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy and Cookie Policy. Before DSTF places non-functional cookies, DSTF will inform you and request your consent. Only after consent is given will these cookies be placed and read. DSTF places its own cookies to recognize you during your next visit without requiring you to log in to your Account again. DSTF may also place cookies for profiling purposes. DSTF may also place tracking cookies, which are used by DSTF if you, as a visitor, click through to third-party websites where DSTF advertisements may be placed. In addition, DSTF uses third parties to analyze the use of its Content, websites, apps, and Services. These third parties also place cookies on your Devices for DSTF, which are used to map how you use the Services. For example, Google Analytics. Third-party cookies are placed on your Devices by third parties, and only these third parties have access to those cookies and the information collected by the cookie. Social networking services such as Facebook and Twitter can also place cookies via DSTF’s websites. This happens through the buttons of these social networks that may be offered on DSTF’s websites to promote (“like”) or share (“tweet”) Content. Below is an overview of all cookies that are placed from DSTF’s websites or apps:
If you want more information about the cookies that other parties place from DSTF’s websites or apps and about how and for what purposes these cookies are used, please read the privacy and cookie policies of these parties, which they publish on their websites or apps. Browser applications can be set so that no new cookies are received during the next use of the Services. The method differs per browser; consult the help function of your browser if necessary. There you will also find instructions on how to delete cookies that have already been placed. A visitor to the website or a user who does not wish to receive any cookies at all must change these settings themselves in all browsers and on all Devices used. If cookies are refused and/or deleted, it may happen that you cannot use (all features of) the Services.
DSTF may decide in the future to (unilaterally) amend this privacy and cookie policy. DSTF therefore recommends that you regularly check this privacy and cookie policy for changes. Should there be any significant changes, DSTF will inform you of these in advance by publishing the amended privacy and cookie policy. The most current and applicable version of the privacy and cookie policy can always be consulted on the relevant DSTF website.
