Jogo's sensor gives
the development of football players
a boost

This innovative, user-friendly sensor is placed in the insole of your shoe and measures more than 200 data points, 1,000 times per second. This provides all kinds of information about the player, offering insight into the development curve and improvement needs of a footballer.

The JOGO sensors, as they are called, are now live on Kickstarter. The Dutch startup is on the verge of transforming talent development in football. Through the step into the future campaign, backers can obtain the smart sensors, which enable youth players to train like professionals – by providing a wide range of reliable data to boost players’ performance levels.

Step into the future campaign

There could hardly be a campaign more fitting for Kickstarter than one from JOGO. You place JOGO’s sensors in the insoles of your shoes, making it quite literally a “step into the future.” “The user-friendly insole sensors make it possible to view all kinds of player data at groundbreaking levels: sprint speed, acceleration, deceleration, two-footedness, ball possession, shot power, and much more,” explains David Dwinger, CEO and founder of JOGO. “This contributes to a more detailed understanding of a player’s development curve and improvement needs, which is the key to a successful future. Our goal is to provide youth players with the right tools.

Approved by FIFA

The waterproof and frictionless sensors measure more than 200 data points, 1,000 times per second, and can be used in all weather conditions, during training and matches. JOGO sensors have a unique feature: they are the only wearable that complies with FIFA regulations for the use of technology during matches. “After a year of developing the JOGO sensors into a robust, user-friendly product, we are ready to share them with the world!” Dwinger continues. “Kickstarter is an excellent way to bring our sensors and overall mission to the attention of the football community and to let them help us nurture this amazing product together.”

Bridging the gap with data

From day one, JOGO has had the mission to bridge the gap between professional and amateur football by adding objective data to the mix through its self-developed talent development platform. With the introduction of the advanced JOGO sensors, that gap becomes even smaller. The sensors enable even more detailed tracking, analysis, and improvement of each player’s game.

By connecting the sensors to the JOGO app via Bluetooth, the smart app provides users, clubs, and coaches with in-depth data and valuable insights into a player’s progress. The JOGO app uses an AI data engine to analyze, evaluate, and translate performance during training sessions and matches into tailor-made improvement suggestions. Individual player results can be compared with benchmark statistics for different age categories, positions, teams, and other players. Clubs and coaches can use this tool to maximize personal growth and set SMART goals based on global standards.

Direct market approach

The need for funding is not the driving force behind the Step into the future campaign. The goal is to make the product-market fit across borders – starting with the American market, an important market for any tech startup on the rise. “We know we have a winning product that people are willing to pay for,” says Laura Du Ry, Head of Marketing at JOGO and former professional footballer (Ajax, Dutch national team). “By bringing our sensors to Kickstarter, directly to the consumer—most of whom are US-based—we want to prove that.”

In that light, the prospects are good. The recently launched promo video for the Step into the future campaign has been very well received. “We have received a lot of positive feedback, and not just from within the sports world. It shows that we are on the right track to transform and revolutionize the future of football.”
