Fantasy Sports app is the market leader in the Netherlands

Friends, family, and colleagues use Scorito to create pools for sporting events such as the Tour de France or the FIFA World Cup. In the sports tech world, this is known as Fantasy Sports. Scorito now has 1.2 million users, more than half of whom were active during the last European Football Championship. The company is active in several European countries, including Belgium, Germany, Spain, and England.

“We quickly saw a clear added value in this partnership with Dutch Sport Tech Fund. Our platform has proven itself over the past years and is easily scalable. This investment gives us the means to scale up further and achieve international growth. Our goal is to become the market leader in the European countries where we are active.”

Martijn van Dijk, founder and CEO of Scorito:

Synergy benefits

“We are proud to add Scorito to our portfolio. The company has become the market leader in the Fantasy Sports sector for good reason. We see a lot of growth potential and hope to realize this together. In addition, there are clear synergy benefits with other companies in our fund, from which both Scorito and our other holdings will benefit. In this case, one plus one equals three.”

Mark Snijders, Chief Investment Officer at Dutch Sport Tech Fund:
