Dutch Sport Tech Fund invested in Jogo.ai in 2021. In December 2021, the popular football platform 433 acquired this Dutch startup. 433 was founded by Demy de Zeeuw and has more than 50 million followers. It concerns a share swap, which means our fund is now a shareholder in 433. Jogo will continue under the name 433 Pro.
433 Pro helps improve the performance of young football players through video footage and sensors in shoes. With the acquisition of the former Jogo, 433 brought in the IT expertise that is essential for future growth. David Dwinger, founder of Jogo, and 433 founder Demy de Zeeuw, hope that the company will grow into a unicorn within four years: a tech company valued at at least one billion euros.
433 has around 70 million users, half of whom come via Instagram. The growth has been exponential for years. The platform scores two billion views per month, of which about 45 percent are from the (hard-to-reach) Generation Y (20-34-year-olds). 433 is popular among Generation Y and Z (young people up to twenty years old). This synergy guarantees an even more dominant position in the increasingly global football, lifestyle, and entertainment sectors.
433 is the world’s largest football app, with 100% organic traffic, partly thanks to influencers such as Lionel Messi, Memphis Depay, Gerard Pique, and Neymar da Silva Santos. The company collaborates with major names like Nike, Adidas, Red Bull, Puma, and EA Sports. Until now, both companies have worked with freemium subscriptions, with the main goal of maximizing their user base. In the coming years, the focus will gradually shift towards the development of original content and (premium) revenue models. 433 is already huge as a brand name, but it is becoming a global trendsetter and market leader. The Dutch tandem 433-433 Pro will settle for nothing less!
